"Canduang" is the local term for a cleaver that is used for daily activities, such as chopping wood, or as a weapon. As we listened to the recording of this rendition, Pak Ketua anticipated the isi, saying this batang is coupled with the isi in this case, suggesting the whole pantun is a pantun baku.
