Place: Kubu Rajo

Kubu Rajo is the name of an stone inscription found in the region of Lima Kaum, near Batusangkar. The archeologists believe it is from the kubu (fort) of the rajo (king), related to King Adityawarman, the king of Malayapura, a kingdom in central Sumatra in the mid-14th century. He is also credited with founding the Minangkabau kingdom of Pagarruyung in Batusangkar. The inscription has sixteen lines of text. See more information here.
