Song in the Sumatran Highlands

Place: Mount Pasaman

Mount Pasaman is part of a compound volcano in Pasaman Barat, by the side of Gunung Talakmau (Talamau), which is the highest mountain in West Sumatra at 2913 m (9557 ft). Mount Pasaman's peak lies at 2174m above sea level. It is not active and is also known by the name "Puncak Rajo Imbang Langik," the name of a former king in the region.

When it is referred to in song text, it's possible that people mean the compound volcano, not the specific peak.
